What we collect

• Account: your email (via Sign in with Apple or Google), username, display name, and optional profile photo and bio.
• Moments: the photo or video you publish, the venue you tag, and the vibe you pick.
• Location: used only in the foreground — to find venues near you when you share a moment, and to check distance for certain actions. Spripps never tracks your location in the background and never publishes your location without you pressing share.
• Notification address: if you enable notifications, we store a notification address for your device so we can deliver them.
• Reports: if you report content, we keep the report record.

How long things live

• Moments are visible for 24 hours, then they are gone from every surface.
• Deleting a moment removes it immediately and permanently; its media file is purged by a daily cleanup.
• You can deactivate or permanently delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your data after a short grace period in case you change your mind.

Who can see your moments

If your account is public, your moments are not limited to your followers: anyone signed in to Spripps can see them — by opening the venue's page, or in the discovery feed while they are sharing nearby themselves. If your account is private, only followers you have accepted can see your moments; on discovery surfaces (feed, map, venue pages) your moment's content never appears. The only exception is the consent-based moment linking described below. In both cases, your moment feeds the venue's anonymous numbers: how many people shared there and the vibe percentages count private accounts too — those numbers never show who you are. And the 24-hour rule holds everywhere: no moment stays on any surface longer than 24 hours.

Shared-scene links ("Should your scenes meet?")

When two people share from the same venue within a short window, we ask the second sharer whether their moments should be linked. If you agree, the two moments are joined, and your moment becomes visible to people who can see your partner's moment — even if your account is private. That's why a private-account sharer sees the question with one extra line: "This moment becomes visible to their followers too." If you don't agree, nothing changes. Either side can sever the link at any time with a single tap, and the link disappears with the moments within 24 hours. Your block and hide decisions are stronger than this link — someone you've blocked, or hidden through a report, can't reach you this way either.

Usage measurement (pseudonymous)

To improve the app, we count some in-product interactions — for example, at which step a share was left unfinished, which screens and venue pages were opened, and whether a feature gets used. These records are pseudonymous: they are tied to a random identifier generated on your device, not to your account, and nothing links that identifier back to you. The photos and videos you share never enter these records. Records are automatically deleted after 90 days. These measurement records are never shared with any third party, and are never used for ads or tracking.

Venue reports

We may provide venues with anonymous, aggregate statistics about their venue — for example, how many people shared there on a given evening. These reports never show who you are; small numbers are never shown at all. Your personal data is never sold under any circumstances.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data.
• We don't show third-party ads.
• We don't send your moment content to anyone who couldn't see it in the app — shared links show only the venue's name and anonymous activity numbers, never your media.

Infrastructure

Spripps runs on Supabase (database, storage, authentication) and Cloudflare (web pages). Your data is processed there on our behalf.

Moderation

Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Content that breaks our guidelines is removed; repeat offenders are suspended.
